OutClimb’s Nickel Mattera (she/her & they/them) is joining Midwest Mountain Guides’ Katie Berg (she/her) for an introduction to ice climbing built for Women, Trans and Femme climbers of any experience level. Learn how to begin moving and ascend frozen waterfalls!

This is a beginner clinic designed to take someone with no climbing experience (ice or rock) and provide them with 4 hours of instruction. Helmet and harness rentals are included with your clinic, and the American Alpine Club will provide some gear demos, but otherwise your best bet for boots and crampons will be Hard Water Sports in Sandstone or the UofM Center for Outdoor Recreation in Minneapolis. (The UofM rental center is only open M-F so a 3 day rental is required.)
